On June 21, 2013 - M4 or Mentors Making Major Moves Inc. held their first annual M4 Celebrity Banquet sponsored by the YouTube Powerhouse Maker Studios held at the California African American Museum. An audience of 100+ educators, entertainers and special guest all gathered to salute the power of mentorship. The run of the show included John Marshall Jones (CW's Hart of Dixie) as Master of Ceremonies, Derrin Horton (KTLA/NFL Network), Keynote Speaker, Billionaire P.A. (Wealthy Minds), motivational guest speaker. Dr. Carol Spain (Retired LAUSD Educator) special guest speaker, Shareef De La Cruz (Music A&R) special guest speaker, & musical performances by Stevie Mackey (NBC's The Voice) & sensational rhythms of J Factor.
JuVan Langford is spearheading the M4 movement honoring his passion of arts & entertainment and young people. Frederick Douglass Academy MS is proud to be partnering with M4 that will take middle school students through its strategically designed foundational cornerstones: Academia, Heath & Wellness, Life Skills and Arts & Entertainment. Students entering the M4 program will be purposefully exposed to the worlds of the arts and entertainment and experience mentorship in a deep and meaningful way. Mrs. Anderson enthusiastically shared, "We're looking forward to all that will continue to unfold of Mr. Langford's vision for M4. He has been nothing but a gift from God since the very moment he walked through the door."

Immediately after learning that FDAMS had not had a bell system on campus since its 2006 inception, Langford gathered with his team members. Just days later, after spreading the word, synchronized time systems company Innovation Wireless (Culver City) & Leslie David Baker (NBC's The Office) responded to the call and joined forces to sponsor state of the art wireless bells to be exchanged for the previous cowbell Mrs. Anderson had used to call upon her students. "So when the bell rings in your school, that bell is going to call your students to be the best that they can be," said Baker.
